Bayless JV Girls Volleyball get the W against conference rivals, the Hancock Tigers, on Friday, September 8th at Hancock.
With help from sophomore Annie Hawkins’ ten point serving run, the Bronchos were able to take a lead over the Tigers in the first set. As the set progressed, Bayless began to fall, and ended up two points behind the Tigers. After a long fight during the first set, the Bronchos came out with a win over the Tigers with a score of 25-20.
Upon the start of the second set, Bayless came out fighting. Hancock wasn’t allowing the Bronchos to take them down easily. Both teams kept fighting until the end, and ultimately, Bayless came out with another set win of 25-21.
After beating the Tigers in a two sets, the girls expressed their gratitude. Sophomore Elma Heric states, “Communication is significant and I really think the team is getting all these wins because of the chemistry between our players.”
The girls were extremely excited to win after their tough loss to Lutheran North. If the girls continue to work as hard as we did on Friday, wins like this are just the start of a great season for the Bayless Bronchos.
